The ACVO is the professional organisation that oversees the accreditation of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and is globally recognised as the leading standard in the field. To be granted a diplomate of the ACVO, a veterinarian must complete an ACVO residency, and pass all sections of the rigorous ACVO qualifying board exam. There are only 500 ACVO diplomates in the world.
